Polkadot Showcases Next-Generation Tech at TUM Blockchain Conference 2025
Polkadot is a silver sponsor at TUM Blockchain Conference in Munich, on September 11 & 12.

Live workshop, scientific talks, and booth activations will give developers a first-hand look at the tools powering the next wave of decentralized applications on Polkadot
Munich, Germany - Polkadot will be participating at this year's TUM Blockchain Conference in Munich, taking place on 11-12 of September. As a Silver Sponsor, Polkadot will feature both a booth and a hands-on workshop, offering participants the chance to explore the latest innovations in its technology.
The technology development in the Polkadot ecosystem has been frenetic this year, and TUM will be the perfect showcase to learn about the latest features being implemented. With Agile Coretime and Asynchronous Backing already deployed, and the imminent launch of Elastic Scaling, Polkadot provides a robust, futureproof infrastructure for rollup builders.
On another front, Polkadot is becoming a solidity smart contracts powerhouse. Developers will be able to not only bring their existing code to Polkadot, but also benefit the unique technical advantages of the network. Among the many novelties being implemented the REVM and PVM dual backend stands out. This dual backend will offer builders plenty of flexibility when bringing their code to Polkadot: when REVM will allow to deploy unmodified solidity code to Polkadot, PVM will offer a myriad of technical advantages, including faster execution speed and lower fees.
Visitors to TUM can learn more about these advancements directly at the Polkadot booth, where Parity engineers and the DevCult DevRel team will be available to answer questions and offer extended information about the technology. Expect surprises, activations, and special activities for attendees visiting the booth.
In addition, Polkadot will host a 60-minute workshop titled “Bring Your Ideas for Next-Generation, Resilient, Unstoppable Applications.” The session will guide builders through Polkadot’s latest technologies in a dynamic, interactive format, while also introducing the six-week online hackathon kicking off shortly after the conference.
Finally in the context of the Academic Forum, Reza Nourmohammadi, technical educator at the Web3 Foundation, will deliver a talk on “Verifiable and Privacy-Preserving Decentralized AI,” closely aligned with this year’s conference theme of Decentralization and AI. In addition, Jeffrey Burges, applied cryptography researcher, will present a session on “ELVES : Efficient execution auditing under Byzantine assumptions".
